History
The Journey of Trinity Baptist Church
Dedicated Christian men and women organized the Sixth Mount Zion Mission Sunday school. The organizers met in the home of Brother Marcellus Carrington Waller, Sr. and Sister Nannie Brown Waller at 1007 West Leigh Street in Richmond, Virginia. Rev. James Williams, Brother William Gardner, Sr., Brother John Moseley and Brother Charles Thompkin were the other organizers. Their loyalty and faith convinced others to join. A decision was made to organize a church and to purchase a little church building at St. James and Fritz Streets in Richmond.
